That is so messed up! Yet, I love buscuit in my gravy! Let me tell you why. When I was around 16, my mom dicided it was time I learned to make gravy.
She said she had to hang cloths on the clothsline. So she directed me to start the process. She yelled from outside to put lard in the cast iron skillet. Heat just before it smokes hot and add flour. I did. Stirred. Got worried. Mom! It’s turning brown. Then add the milk and water I mixed up!!! she yelled. I did and stirred and stirred and stirred. My God! Mom, I replied. I just made gravy…
So, I dropped a biscuit in my gravy!!!

Aggie was a Full blooded Cherokee Indian
“When Kentucky was first being settled, emigrants from either
North Carolina or Tennessee, headed by a man named Cornett,
reached the Kentucky River late one evening. They decided to
make camp and wait until daylight before crossing the river.
They had wives, children, livestock and equipment with them.
After supper they were sitting around their campfire talking,
when Indians dashed into camp and captured two of the little
girls. Three of the white men saddled horses and went after the
Indians. Late in the night they caught up with the Indians, who
were not expecting pursuit and had made camp. The men advanced
near enough to see the girls asleep on pallets near the fire.
Each man agreed to dash in and grab one of the girls. This they
did and got away without a fight. When they came to their own
camp the men discovered that they had also captured a little
Indian girl. The next morning after crossing the river, the
emigrants decided to keep the Indian girl. Mr. Cornett agreed
to take her and raise her.

Potatoes Dauphinoise
Ingredients
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 pound potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (I use a handheld Japanese mandoline that slices them very thin, 1/16 inch or so)
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 cup heavy cream
Procedure
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
2. Rub a shallow 8-inch gratin dish with garlic. Butter generously. Arrange the sliced potatoes in concentric circles (or any old way—it doesn’t really matter), sprinkling with salt and pepper every so often. Pour in the cream and bake 45 minutes, or until the cream has been absorbed and the tops of the potatoes are a deep golden color.
