At the moment I am so humbled, I am not sure what to say….

I had discovered I had 14 Patriots in my family. I knew joining DAR, Daughters of The American Revolution would be a good thing! I had already worked for many many years and countless hours, to many to mention too validate my family tree!

I had tested over 9 family members with Autosomal DNA and the yDNA as well as tracing all lines in my Ancestry.

I had already had a family tree well documents including all Patriot Pension Record, etc. I knew I was ready and it was time!

I knew a 2nd cousin was already a DAR member and she had filed on my 4th Great Grandfather, Benjamin Wager! So, I was one of the fortunate ones. All I had to do was prove my first three generations as she and I share the same Great Grandparents.  My entire process took about six weeks to collect all birth, marriage and death certificates on my first three generations. My Registrar from the Red River Valley Chapter in Kentucky filed. Less than seven weeks later, my application went from “Pending Review” to “Approved” all in one day! The was on October 21, 2015

What a journey and I will be writing more about how I took that journey in later post’s!

Check back often as I continue to write in this thread!

A great deal of research has gone in to connecting my family with JFK’s, our 35th President. It is already been added to my Family Tree with Citations and sources.

Here is a snapshot of the connection…Newly updated Chart:

What is interesting is Katherine Banks 1st husband, my 8th Great Grandfather’s father died of the Black Plaque in 1616 his name was also Joseph Royall and his wife Catherine died during the same plaque. They are both buried at St Martin-in-the-Fields Churchyard
Westminster City of Westminster Greater London, England. If his son Joseph Royall had not come to the new world, he would have most likely perished too….

Here is an interesting article about Katherine Banks! http://www.courier-herald.com/bookmark/5022758/blog+entry-KATHERINE+BANKS

Thanks to Misty Hamilton Smith, I now have my Family Tree embedded in to the website. You can now look at each name, click on it and review.

There are many exciting changes planned for the website as well as the next book I am working.

This new book is more of a story telling book with many very interesting memories handed down my family lines. Interviews with others that still have these true living memories of our Ancestors.

A new photo album feature will be added in the near future, so stay tuned!
